Booking & Payment
Deposit & Payment Policy
- A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit ensures commitment to the agreed-upon session time and protects against last-minute cancellations.
- The deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to a rescheduled appointment if at least 48 hours’ notice is given.
- The remaining balance must be paid in full at the end of each session.
- If additional hours are required beyond the agreed package, they will be charged at the standard hourly rate.
- Payments can be made via PayID or bank transfer (details provided upon booking confirmation).
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations or reschedules must be requested at least 48 hours before the session to retain the deposit.
- Late cancellations (less than 48 hours’ notice) or no-shows will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
- If Serene Spaces must reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, the client will be offered an alternative date/time.
Refunds
- No refunds will be given for change of mind or unused package hours.
- Refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Serene Spaces.
Service Agreement & Responsibilities
Client Participation & Expectations
- The success of our service depends on client engagement. Clients are expected to actively participate in the decluttering and organisation process.
- The client (or an authorised representative) must be present during the session unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Serene Spaces is not responsible for decision-making regarding which items to keep, donate, or discard.
Storage & Additional Purchases
- Any storage solutions, baskets, furniture, or other organisational products purchased at the client’s request will be invoiced at retail cost and must be reimbursed to Serene Spaces.
- Serene Spaces does not profit from product recommendations—clients are welcome to source their own solutions if preferred.
Third-Party Services
- External services such as waste disposal, donation collection, or removal services may be required. While Serene Spaces may recommend providers, the client is responsible for arranging and paying for these services directly.
- Serene Spaces is not liable for any issues, damages, or delays caused by third-party providers.
Liability Disclaimer
- While we take every precaution, Serene Spaces is not responsible for any accidental disposal, damage, or loss of personal belongings during the decluttering process.
- Clients are encouraged to review all items carefully before disposal or donation.
- We are not liable for any pre-existing damage to furniture, storage, or personal items.
Health, Safety & Conduct
Client Disclosures & Safety
- Clients must disclose any potential safety or health risks before the session, including but not limited to:
- Pest infestations
- Mold, water damage, or structural issues
- Hazardous materials
- Any medical conditions that may impact the session
- Failure to disclose any of the above may result in immediate termination of the session without a refund.
Unsanitary Conditions
- Serene Spaces reserves the right to decline service if the environment is deemed hazardous or unsanitary. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Severe hoarding beyond a manageable level
- Presence of biohazards (e.g., bodily fluids, vermin, infestations)
- Unsafe structural conditions
- If a session is terminated due to undisclosed safety concerns, payment for the session will still be required in full, and no future services will be provided.
Zero-Tolerance Policy
- Serene Spaces maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior, including:
- Verbal abuse
- Harassment or discrimination of any kind
- Threatening or unsafe conduct
- If inappropriate behavior occurs, the session will be terminated immediately, the full service fee will still be required, and the client will be ineligible for future bookings.
Privacy & Confidentiality
- Serene Spaces respects client privacy and will never share personal information with third parties without explicit written consent.
- Any discussions, details about the client’s home, or sensitive information shared during the process will remain strictly confidential.
Before & After Photos
- Before and after photos may be taken for documentation and marketing purposes.
- Clients will be asked to provide written consent before any images are shared publicly.
- All identifying details (such as faces, addresses, or personal documents) will be blurred or cropped out to protect client privacy.
- If a client does not wish for any photos to be used, they may opt out by notifying Serene Spaces in writing.
Travel Fees
- If the client’s location is outside a 40-km radius from Brisbane south side, a travel fee may apply.
- This will be discussed and agreed upon before confirming the booking.
By booking with Serene Spaces Organising, the client agrees to abide by these terms and conditions.
